What We Inspect and Why
A home inspection is a visual examination of the home's major structure, systems, and components that are visible and safely accessible. Buying a home is typically the biggest investment you will ever make, so it's not only important, but smart, to get a home inspection. Home Navigator Inspection Services Inc can find and document defects that may or may not be obvious to you as a prospective buyer. Such defects can range from simple replacements or repairs to severe damage or safety and health concerns.

Meet Your Inspector
Damon Verellen

Damon has always had a love of homes. He studied drafting and architecture all through school. He would even set aside a day while on vacation to walk through model homes in new construction developments to admire and, of course, critique the floor plan and design elements of the latest and greatest homes. While Damon never pursued architecture or home design as a career, he never stopped designing, learning, and admiring homes.
In 2017 Damon and his family moved to West Virginia and began building their own home from the ground up. During the preceding three years, Damon spent countless hours learning proper building practices, including everything from framing to foundations to plumbing. Damon and his family now enjoy a beautiful home they can proudly say they designed and built themselves.
During the pandemic, Damon received a blessing in disguise, a layoff. The company he worked for was closing its doors. Damon took this opportunity to shift his career toward something he had always loved, homes. He immediately enrolled in a home inspector certification course offered by ICA (Inspection Certification Associates), North America's most trusted inspector training organization. Following graduation from ICA, Damon opened Home Navigator Inspection Services Inc and began inspecting homes and helping families. Damon continues to hone his craft through continuing education courses and relationships with fellow inspectors. Damon has since achieved the title of Certified Professional Inspector from InterNACHI, the world's largest and most respected home inspector association.
